A Season of Waiting

In the 25th chapter of his book, the prophet Isaiah says, 8 He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the LORD has spoken. 9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”   The Advent season starts a new year in the Church calendar. The year begins with a “season of waiting.” We are called to wait, empowered by the Spirit of God and his grace, for the promise Isaiah has spoken. Evangelize Today Seminar – Saturday, March 9, 2013

Evangelize Today Seminar – Saturday, March 9, 2013 City of Hope Church and Columbia Presbyterian Church are partnering to host an Evangelize Today Seminar, presented by Rev. Al Dayhoff. Al is the pastor of Grace Fellowship Church (PCA) in Chantilly, VA, a church he began in 1993. He developed Evangelize Today (ET) as a unique approach to sharing the Christian faith. ET teaches believers to share their faith in the Lord Jesus by listening to spiritual conversations and respond to divine appointments in everyday life. Evangelism seminars are often theoretical, where Christians talk about evangelism instead of actually doing it. ET allows the participant to reflect on their own conversion process and then apply what they learned before they leave. The seminar includes lunch, laughter, tears, and time to wrestle with the souls already on our hearts. Date: Saturday, March 9, 2013 Time: 9 AM – 4:30 PM Fee: $30 Location: Columbia Presbyterian Church, 10001 Route 108, Columbia, MD 21044  Join us by registering...

God’s makeover is taking place by the work of his Spirit as he changes our lives. Join us as we look at the Spirit Empowered Kingdom Mission through...
