Baptism Class: COH will offer a two-part class covering both infant and believer's baptism. The class will be offered at two different times (covering the same material) so that as many people as possible can attend. For time and location, see the Sunday School section on our Home page.
Missionaries' Urgent Need: Prem and Kelly Bandaru, missionary friends working with street children in Bangalore, India, have an urgent need to fill an unexpected vacancy in their Elkridge townhome. The 3-level townhome in HoCo has 3 bdrms, 2 and 2/2 baths. Rent: $1650/month. The Bandarus can be reached on their IP phone at # 410-753-2929.
Jail Ministry: Our next worship service at the Howard County Detention Center will be for the men in January. If you are interested in helping, please see Pastor Irwyn.
Mission/Benevolence Fund: We as a church value caring for the needs of our congregation and our local community as well as supporting folks who desire to share the good news of Jesus to others globally and locally. The Session has decided to take an offering the 4th Sunday of every month. The next offering will be taken on October 26th.
The offering is broken down in two parts:
Mission - for missionaries and mission organizations we have committed to financially support
Benevolence - to help those families within our congregation faced with financial needs as well as those within our community who are faced with financial needs.
Please designate which portion of your gift is tithe and which is for the mission/benevolence offering. Only funds designated to the mission/benevolence offering will be allocated as such.
